This & That

Thanksgiving Eve & I'm sitting here gazing out my window at the first significant snow storm of the season. And from what I hear, the first of many forecast for this winter. Worse than last year?! I certainly hope not but we shall see.

But I'm sort of enjoying being snowbound for this one....happy at least - and at last - to be planted in one spot for a change. The last few months having been non-stop......lots of Professor Louie & The Crowmatix shows, a full studio schedule & most recently a 10 day tour of Norway & Sweden with Chip Taylor to promote his  newly released triple!!! CD.....Check out the ever prolific & always effusive Chip Taylor's  website -  TrainWreckRecords.com - if you're interested in the details of that tour as well as any up & coming shows & events with Chip.

Studio Stuff

06/18/2014

Almost everyday - when I'm not on the road - you'll find me deep in the bowels of some studio or other.....either working on music licensing cues that have found their way onto dozens of destinations world wide on Cable & Network TV,  Internet & documentaries  - some are pretty funny  i.e Oz and James Drink To Britain or Amazing Wedding Cakes lol....The History Channel, Swamp People, Animal Planet etc or VH1's Woodstock Now & Then. The list goes on. It's a never ending endeavor but it's a whole lot of fun 'cause I'm free to write, play & record almost anything I please without anyone breathing down my neck :) I mean that's why I became a musician to begin with!

OR..... you may find me producing &/or playing guitar for someone else as I am presently doing with & for my old friend Professor Louie & The Crowmatix.....

The Professor & I go back a long way & as the years go by I find myself more & more involved with this fine musician & bandleader. For those who may not know, The Professor produced  Jericho....The Band's first album without Robbie Robertson, years after their "farewell concert". That album would yield a major hit -  Atlantic City & the beginning of Louie's long association with Levon Helm, Garth Hudson & Rick Danko. I believe Louie produced all of Rick's CDs right up to his untimely death. Anyway, there are a few Professor Louie & The Crowmatix CDs on which I guest on but the next one will find me much more involved. So please check in here for the latest news on that.

Meanwhile here's a  track from my "forthcoming" CD on which Louie reciprocates & guests on....
